The Will Parker Award is the
highest individual honor
bestowed by the oil industry in
North Carolina. The award is
named for the beloved Mr.
William A. Parker, first
Executive Vice President of the
Association who so typified all
the qualities recognized by the
award that bears his name. The
award is given in recognition of
service, achievement and success
in the following areas: service
to one’s own company or in the
field of his/her endeavors in
the petroleum industry; service
to the community in civic and
community affairs; service to
local county groups; activities
on behalf of the oil industry in
a multi-county and state area;
promotions on behalf of the
industry; service on committees
of various trade organizations;
work in respect to educational
programs and in industry
meetings; high moral and
Christian aspects in the
recipients life; patriotism and
dedication to him/herself and
the industry.
